Purpose
Finish carryover from 258: mirror Stop-event gates into kimi (task #3) + verify SPEC-112 dispatch state
Work log
- Verified the kimi Stop gates two ways: hermetic harness 18/18 (fire on trigger / silent when clean / loop-protect / self-gate / last-turn-only isolation) + real-data test reconstructing 1657 chars of genuine last-turn prose from a live kimi wire.jsonl via the glob fallback (no false positive). ruff+black clean, bash -n clean. Host-local by design (.gitignore:233 .kimi/), not repo-committed — matches task-2's ported gates.
- Fix-on-sight: irc_agents_hook.sh listener_alive() grepped NUL-separated /proc/PID/cmdline -> false-negatived on live process -> spawned a DUPLICATE _irc_listen.py every SessionStart (nick-collision churn). Replaced with pgrep -f (NUL-safe); killed the duplicate, left one healthy listener (pid 10021, 27h uptime), corrected pidfile. Recorded mechanism to memory (claude-agents-irc-inbox).
- Boot-health FAIL triaged as stale same-boot residue of already-fixed causes: bluetoothd HFP flood (blueman autoconnect services=[] persists, zero spam in live journal) + doxygen SIGABRT (known upstream string_view/CUDD bug, no functional impact). fjes blacklist intact. Verified, did NOT re-fix. 'session status failed' at boot was a transient race — reproduces PASS.
- Parallel dispatch wave: (1) kimi SPEC112-S1 via #agents IRC — migrate scripts/parse_spec_requirements.py (97L) into openspec module (kimi acked, running, will REPORT). (2) builder subagent a6c21a0b on backlog #219 — throttled lazy re-dial for SpikeAuditor (cxp_auditor.py) + PipelineKGMixin (pipeline_kg.py) which currently connect-once-then-permanently-disable on a transient graph blip; design settled (30s throttle, _available_now() re-dial, no-mock tests via real dead-endpoint repo). Monitor b6r3r43l0 watching #agents for kimi's REPORT.
- Lane neutralization wave: fixed 6 failing modules' causes (synth section markers in _SYNTHETIC_LLM_TEXT; docs+analysis tests rewritten to the spec'd G162-1 escalate→respond flow; design_authority_live retired-as-live to default-path synth parse-guard proof; qwen content asserts → routing mechanics; architecture_twin fully off real OpenRouter incl. 2 UNMARKED default-lane network tests)
- Swarm: reviewer confirmed 8 defects in Builder 5 diff; builders fixed qwen/twin + sandboxed claude_cli_adapter (--tools '' + scratch cwd, the rogue-instance hole); judge/deepseek cassette authoring in flight. Stray root files deleted (recorded-claude wrote them). Gate audit: 6/6 PASS on dirty tree.
- Re-sequenced 4 legacy catch-all conversations in prod conversation graph (6117 turns; dense unique 1..N by parsed timestamp on HAS_TURN rel; originals preserved in legacy_turn_seq; markers stamped; 878KB backup in reports/reseq_backup_1785886978.json; verified dense_unique PASS x4, current conversation untouched)
- Rollback runbook in the migration script header. llm_integration lane green 27/27 in 50s wall. Full authoritative gate running.
- Swarm D: cut both whole-tree-analysis test dominators (gate_parallel_safety 16.44s->0.41s; session_coverage_gates 24.49s->12.35s)
- test_main_default_runs_all_gates 31.7s loaded/11.7s solo -> 0.06s via --tests-dir sandbox (assertions strengthened: rc==0 + ALL BLOCKING GATES PASS)
- test_main_json_flag 11.3s->0.06s: kept as the single deliberately-real-tree test, narrowed to gate 0.3 (reads exactly 2 conftests)
- test_total_session_test_count 31.0s loaded/13.1s solo -> 2.25s: import-free static AST definition count; cutover equivalence collected 3063 vs static 3122; threshold 1000 unchanged; SyntaxError now propagates
- ruff clean, pyright 0 errors both files; real-tree gate coverage preserved via run_tests.py safety-gates phase (line 159)
Artifacts
- tests/test_gate_parallel_safety.py
- tests/session/test_session_coverage_gates.py
Decisions
- grpc-aio KG-suite hang: source-fix is NOT a simple atomic-refcount patch (investigated grpcio 1.82.1 aio Cython source directly): grpc_aio.pyx.pxi already RLock-guards the refcount (init/shutdown both 'with _global_aio_state.lock') AND already has the Py3.14 'if sys.is_finalizing(): return' guard (cpython PR#130402). Real root cause: under free-threading, AioChannel/AioServer survive uncollected to interpreter finalization -> shutdown hits the is_finalizing guard -> grpc_shutdown() skipped -> C-core EventEngine (non-daemon C++) threads leak -> hang. GC-timing, not a refcount race. Only candidate source-fix (force grpc_shutdown at finalization, skip poller-wait) is speculative + needs iterative from-source-rebuild+15min-repro loop. Impact TEST-ONLY (production uses run_serve_lifecycle, shuts down while loop alive). os._exit mitigation is pragmatically correct + already in place. Recommend keep mitigation, reclassify source-fix as deferred low-ROI.
Achievements
- Task #3 DONE — mirrored Claude's 3 Stop-event governance gates into kimi (kimi-code). kimi's Stop payload omits the transcript (only session_id/cwd/stop_hook_active), so built .kimi/hooks/_kimi_stop_lib.py to reconstruct the model's last turn from kimi's own wire.jsonl (content.part events, turnId-grouped; session_index.jsonl + UUID-glob fallback; FAIL-OPEN). Three gates (forbidden-doubles / no-guessing RUL-017 / no-preexisting-excuse RUL-024) port Claude's matchers verbatim, emit via kimi's exit-2+stderr contract, loop-protected + self-gated. Registered as event=Stop in ~/.kimi-code/config.toml (valid TOML, 3 hooks).
- Closed the '#agents deafness' gap for Claude: built + wired ~/.claude/tools/claude_irc_inbox.py — surfaces IRC messages addressed to claude at SessionStart (backlog) + before every turn (UserPromptSubmit), reading the kimi bot's live channel.log (no new daemon, no network change). Filter 6/6, backlog/inject/delta/no-loop all verified. Wired into settings.json via user-run patcher (settings edits are classifier-gated).
- Verified backlog #7 pyright-override symptom already RESOLVED: MemoryEngineProtocol.store + MemoryEngine.store + MemoryEntry all use volk_id, pyright 0/0 on memory_engine.py + core/protocols/memory.py; IMemoryEngine is just an alias =MemoryEngineProtocol. Remaining divergence is the scoped MemoryScope/cold_store rename (new work item) — canonical=volk_id.
- Backlog #219 DONE + merged to master (ee2bcde9, ff). Throttled lazy re-dial for SpikeAuditor + PipelineKGMixin: connect-once-then-permanently-disabled → now recover on next use (30s throttle). Delegated to builder a6c21a0b (worktree); I steered it live via harness diagnostics (guard Optional graph-client access → pyright 0/0; make BrokenAssembler a REAL UnifiedContextAssembler subclass not a mock; pyright-clean tests too). INDEPENDENTLY VERIFIED: pyright 0/0 all 4 files (worktree src), 90 targeted tests pass, redial armed at prod boot (pipeline.py:121 + pipeline_runner.py:205), _last_kg_dial=+inf sentinel is sound (distinguishes never-initialized from initialized-then-failed). Commit attribution clean (no AI trailer).
- Backlog #7 (memory slice) DONE + merged to master (236b339a via merge commit). volk_id is now the canonical field in MemoryEntry (pydantic, alias='agent_id') + MemoryScope (dataclass); agent_id demoted to deprecated read/property alias. Delegated to builder a4d49bdc; INDEPENDENTLY VERIFIED: pyright 0/0 on 3 src files, 251 memory tests pass, merge conflict-free, attribution clean. DEVIATION (accepted): pyright doesn't model pydantic populate_by_name, so canonical volk_id= construction carries a # pyright:ignore[reportCallIssue] at 2 internal sites (memory_engine:180, cold_store:359) — comment is accurate but builder's cited 'precedent' (pipeline.py:201/token_counter.py:56) was FALSE (those are reportAbstractUsage/reportMissingImports, unrelated). Wart: canonical name needs ignore, deprecated agent_id= is type-clean. Full zero-ignore fix = drop alias + migrate ~65 MemoryEntry(agent_id=) sites (exceeds approved slice; optional follow-up).
- kimi SPEC112-S1 REVIEWED + MERGED to master (db2b3f56 merge + aababb74 cleanup). Monitor b6r3r43l0 caught kimi's #agents REPORT zero-touch (the wakeup poller works). Verified: faithful script→module extraction (openspec/requirements_parser.py = real parse logic; scripts/parse_spec_requirements.py = 20-line argparse shim, zero logic), behavior preserved (pre-existing script test STILL passes), 21 tests green, pyright/ruff clean, no AI attribution, kimi correctly rebased onto origin/master (no K3 work lost — 79cf69b5 was superseded intermediate, content already on master via 6564e188). Fix-on-sight: removed dead _FR_RE + false FR-grouping docstring the migration carried over from the original. Acked kimi on #agents (non-triggering).
