Purpose
Fix gRPC kernel connection — three-tier logging, reply consumer backoff, automated tests
Work log
- Replaced gateway gRPC silent catch-all with three-tier logging: unconfigured (no env vars) → INFO, unreachable (server not running) → WARNING with host:port + actual error, connected → INFO with host:port
- Fixed kernel reply consumer log spam: exponential backoff (2s→60s), logs actual gRPC error on first failure only, stops after 10 consecutive failures instead of infinite loop
- Added 2 tests to tests/gateway/test_kernel_reply_consumer.py: test_pump_raises_when_server_unreachable (AioRpcError on dead kernel → drives consumer backoff) and test_pump_recovers_after_server_restart (fresh client works after restart)
- Full gRPC test suite: 30/30 pass in 22s — 18 cxp/test_grpc.py + 3 gateway/test_kernel_reply_consumer.py (2 new) + 5 agents + 4 gateway handlers. All real gRPC infrastructure, no mocks
