Core component protocols for Orchestrata Ultimate.
The contracts that let the subsystems of orchestrata talk to each other without importing each other's implementations. They are Protocol classes, satisfied structurally. The curated core narrative describes this as the layer that keeps the single-package port from becoming a tangle.
By role:
- Vocabulary and lifecycle: base (component types, health, scope, events,
ComponentProtocol,EventBusProtocol). - Subsystem contracts: components (kernel, postman, orchestrator, state manager) and agent (
VolkProtocol). - Cycle breakers: decoupling (governance bridge, volk registry, audit trail, Redis state), volk_health and session.
- Services: memory (SPEC-010) and providers (SPEC-011).
There is no runtime flow here; callers import a protocol, and a concrete class elsewhere satisfies it. The package root re-exports everything, and core.interfaces keeps the older names. Start with base, then components.
