The gateway component is the WebSocket and RPC front door of Orchestrata (SPEC-014). In the component DAG it depends on contracts, kernel, session, knowledge_graph and governance, and is marked landed; the cut-over has not happened. It contains one import package, orchestrata_gateway (73 modules), lifted from the gateway package of the single-package tree. Start there; the gateway narrative describes the behaviour.
