The record
Status: Proposed (awaiting Mohamed) · Date: 2026-08-29
Context
Every artifact class passes an admission gate; registry entries (revocations, key entries, pairing table) were projector-gated. But the registry is the remedy channel for a COMPROMISED projector — routing the cure through the suspect blocks it (round-12 finding). Registry entries are already ratify-signed and chain-ordered.
Decision (proposed)
Registry entries self-admit: their chain IS their ordering and tip-currency; no AdmissionRecord. The remedy for a compromised projector can never be blocked by the projector. Surface births sit in the NAME register and are outside this decision's scope under either branch (v16).
Alternatives rejected
Projector-gated registry entries (the cure routes through the suspect). Fallback if REJECTED (stated in F2): the projector's gate-list mechanism returns.
Consequences
One fewer admission-record class; the compromise-recovery path is projector-independent.
Provenance
Design v16 §2.3 + §11 F2 sub-clause; rounds 12-15.
